GERMAN SHORTHAIR POINTER: A medium sized German breed of pointing dog. Athletic, intelligent, and always ready for adventure—your perfect outdoor companion.
BREED PERSONALITY
The German Shorthair Pointer is good-natured and adaptable but meant to be a hunting dog. The breed is not aggressive and to strangers may be very friendly or a little reserved. They are mostly good with other pets but can be combative with strange dogs.
BREED OWNER
The German Shorthair needs an equally athletic owner who will run, hike and bike him, a walk around the block is not even a warm-up. Obedience training is a must for self-discipline and control as he can be easily distracted, just be patient and firm!!! Their coat is very easy to care for.
