As much energy as Goldens have, they are not couch potatoes but can be overeaters which puts them at risk for obesity. Goldens love walking, playing, swimming and focused play. Focused play makes them wonderful therapy and service dogs. Goldens are big shedders year round. Good brushing is needed at least weekly.
