BREED PERSONALITY
Quiet inside and happy with long daily walks and romping in the snow in colder months. Reserved with strangers, the Pyrenees should be introduced to many different people in his early months. They are patient with family children and may be the same with other family pets. Pyrenees tend to trust their own intuition and do whatever they please, they are not like Golden Retrievers!
BREED OWNER
Young Pyrenees need exercise to keep them slim and healthy but one must make sure their growing bones, joints and ligaments do not become over-stressed. As an adult, the Pyrenees need more exercise to keep them fit but not in hot or humid weather as they can easily become overheated. Pyrenees are heavy shedders that will leave fur all over everything. Left alone unsupervised they have a booming bark that may be a nuisance to neighbors.
