LACY: Also known as the Blue Lacy, originating in Texas and bred for herding, hunting and ranch work, tough, loyal, and always ready to work and play!

BREED PERSONALITY

The Lacy is an adventurous, smart, and active breed originally used to work feral hogs. Their drive and determination also helps them excel at herding cattle and hunting wild boar. They always love having a job to do. Lacys are trusted watch dogs.

BREED OWNER

Even though Lacys make excellent companions and are great with children, they need a calm, forceful model who isn’t afraid to set clear and consistent rules. They are easily trainable and require consistent and daily physical and mental stimulation. Lacys need a minimum of 30 minutes—but more like 90 minutes—of hard exercise each day. The Lacy only needs basic dog grooming as they have a short, tight coat.
