BREED PERSONALITY
Belgian Malinois' characteristics are shown by their high energy level which makes them great watchdogs and guardians, often trained for police and military service. These gritty and true dogs are loving companions, but their athletic build and energetic nature can be a lot to take.
BREED OWNER
The Belgian Malinois is not necessarily the right breed for everyone. They aren’t well-suited to living in an apartment because they need lots of space to run and play. Owners with an active lifestyle are best suited for the Malinois, they need to provide plenty of ways for the dogs to exercise their minds and bodies. Proper training and socialization are important to ensure they are well-mannered. Their grooming is fairly simple with a short, straight, weather-resistant coat with a thick undercoat.
