Even though the Mastiff has an overwhelmingly large appearance, they are big softies at heart. They are lovingly known as gentle giants, these dogs have acquired a reputation for their kind souls, calm manner, and family-friendly nature.
BREED OWNER
Mastiffs need a decent amount of care due to their size, but will shower their humans with a lifetime of affection and companionship. They’re not considered terribly intelligent or trainable but some light obedience training is a good idea to ensure they keep safe and become good companions. Mastiffs are quite calm, the younger Mastiff is more playful. Consistent exercise will keep your mastiff fit and motivated. Mastiffs have a short coat that typically needs little grooming and the breed is a moderately high shedder.
