SHIBA INU: AN ANCIENT JAPANESE BREED THAT IS ALERT, ACTIVE AND ATTENTIVE
BREED PERSONALITY:
A courageous, spirited "big dog in a small body," dog. The Shiba should always be kept on-leash because of his high prey drive and quick reflexes, he will pursue anything that moves. He can easily outrun any human, Shibas are true runners.
BREED OWNER:
Shiba owners should have secure fences and a covered run if you plan on leaving them outdoors unsupervised. As the owner of a Shiba, you must stay a step ahead of him as he is both smart and thinks he is in control. Firm, positive and consistent owners are best as the Shiba can be stubborn and naughty.
