They can be hard to train because of the mix of the two breeds so are not always a best first pet. The Shih-Poo also does best as an only dog and they love being close to their people and don’t tolerate being left along

Most of the time the Shih-Poo is content curling up in your lap or cuddling, but they do need up to 30 minutes of exercise a day in the form of a walk or hard play.
