Irish terriers have endless charm and character. They are brave, sporty, and determined, and tend to be people loving. They don't always get along well with other animals, can be very strong-minded, and can get easily bored.

BREED OWNER

Because of their energy and smarts, the Irish terrier needs to be kept busy. Besides a decent amount of daily exercise, the Irish Terrier owner will need to make sure to offer enough mental stimulation around the home. Irish Terriers need a vigorous daily walk of about 30 minutes, but they should exercise and play for 60 to 90 minutes a day, they have endless energy and stamina. The Irish terrier has low-maintenance, easy grooming requirements. Their short, coarse coat shed very little, a weekly brush out should be enough to keep it healthy. Training wise, the Irish terrier is very smart, but the dog is also incredibly stubborn.
